Dear friends of Le Projet Imagine,
As we begin this new year, we extend our warmest wishes and share our heartfelt conviction: despite the world’s brutality, humanity has real reasons for hope – thanks in particular to young people.This belief is far from naive optimism; it is a perspective shared by many. When Newsweek magazine* asked philosopher Martha Nussbaum about her primary reason for optimism in 2025, she replied : ‘the energy, intelligence and compassion of young people ! “
At Le Projet Imagine, we fully embrace the vision of this esteemed professor of law and ethics at the University of Chicago, recipient of the Holberg Prize in 2021. As the author of “Political Emotions: Why Love Matters for Justice” and “Creating Capabilities: The Human Development Approach”, her philosophy aligns closely with the pioneering work of economists Mahbub ul-Haq and Amartya Kumar Sen, the architects of the Human Development Index (HDI).
We are faced with a monumental, yet exciting challenge: reimagining education to cultivate well-rounded citizens who embody the qualities and skills that define the richness and beauty of our humanity: empathy, critical thinking, curiosity, commitment, enthusiasm, trust, generosity and more…
These young people need us! Let us show them that we believe in them and support them on the demanding path to maturity and responsibility. This human journey is so noble that it inspires the best in each of us. It calls for our commitment.
So, thank you, dear friends, for standing with us every day on this meaningful journey and for your invaluable support and encouragement. As Tolstoy wisely wrote in “War and Peace“

Founded in 2010 by journalist Frédérique Bedos, the NGO of information « Le Projet Imagine » aims to create a movement of citizen commitment with a view to a more inclusive and sustainable society.
Convinced that everyone can activate their power to make the world a better place, it raises public awareness through inspiring films and involves the public in action-oriented programs that are in line with the Sustainable Development Goals as defined by the United Nations.These programs are deployed in schools and increasingly in companies, cities and prisons.
Since 2017 « Le Projet Imagine » is officially recognized by the United Nations.
